About Me

Rachel Bethany Christian Counseling, Rachel in chair

Rachel Bethany

Hello, I’m so glad you made it to my page! I know that counseling is a big step of faith, and I would be so honored to join you on your journey. I believe when biblically informed guidance and compassion are paired with evidence based practices it provides the space for radical healing, hope, and transformation. My prayer is that each person I meet with walks away feeling more freedom and wholeness in their life through Gods generous care. We all need a space to feel fully known, accepted, and loved and that is what you will find here.

My name is Rachel Bethany Scheribel and for the past 7 years I have given my life to my prayer above. Through four years of helping lead a college ministry and three as a Professional Christian counselor, I’ve seen firsthand how God can bring healing and hope to the unimaginable places of our lives. I believe God is the ultimate healer, and that He uses counseling to provide space for you to see broken parts of your story healed.

I received my Bachelor’s degree in Human Services and Counseling with a minor in Sociology from Wayne State College and my MA in Christian Counseling from Crown College. Before starting my own private practice I worked for a Christian counseling center for three years where I was honored to serve a variety of individuals ranging from 6 years old to 60 years old. Before that, my husband and I were leading the college ministry of our church until God called us to move to Fort Collins to start a new church in 2020. We are passionate about this community and bringing hope to dark places. Some of the most privileged hats I get to wear aside from counselor is wife and mother (plus dog mom to our giant sized Goldendoodle).

Although my christian worldview is the foundation of my practice, I have had great therapeutic relationships with people of various spiritual backgrounds. No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, we will discuss this in our first session to determine how much you’d like faith incorporated. It is a top priority to me that you feel comfortable, respected and that your needs and expectations are being met in our time together.

With hope,

Rachel Bethany
